the
Bruce Brown "golden years of surf collection"
The ulitmate expedition
to unsurfed Mexico, classic California and BIG North Shore!
Surf Crazy was Bruce Brown's second surf film. It was 1959. Eisenhower
was President. Hawaii had just become a state. Most surfboards were still
made of balsa wood and surfers were rarely found outside of Hawaii and
California. No surfer to Bruce's knowledge had searched for surf much
south of Mazatlan. Bruce and his crew, went all the way to Acapulco. Even
when the surf wasn't much good, they were all stoked.
This DVD also contains vintage footage of Classic California surf at Rincon
and Cottons, Velzyland with Joey Cabell and Donald Takayama, plus huge
Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach.
