Dick Dale's guitar

One of Dick Dale's guitars hangs in the International Surfing Museum. Dick Dale practically invented surf music in 1960 when his first album was released. These days the undisputed king of surf music is still playing and touring.

Jan & Dean's Gold Record Also on display in the International Surfing Museum is a gold record from Jan & Dean. Jan Berry and Dean Torrence sold more than 20 million records between 1960 and 1966. Their hits include "Surf City," "Little Old Lady from Pasadena," "Deadman's Curve," and "Sidewalk Surfin'." The Jan & Dean gold records were donated by Surf Music Experts Dr. Chuck Stevens and Eric Zoller.

Original album covers fill an entire wall of The International Surfing Museum. These are just a few of the many that are on display.
