Dick Dale's guitar

DICK DALE’S VINTAGE 1954 CALIFORNIA ELECTRIC GUITAR
Dick Dale’s first “California” electric guitar was purchased in a pawnshop in 1954 when Dick was 17 years old. Dick and this guitar were featured in a 60’s Marilyn Monroe Classic movie called “Let’s Make Love.” He gained 15 seconds of fame in this film auditioning as an Elvis look-a-like but it was just the beginning.
We recently had this vintage guitar restored to its original condition and placed in a beautiful black bamboo shadow box for display. The exhibit includes an original 1962 record of “Let’s Go Trippin”, DVD of “Let’s Make Love” and a personally autographed poster. Dick was so excited when we told him what we had done that he came in to the museum to check it out right away.
He is proud to show it off to his many friends and has been doing so quite often.
If you are lucky enough to come in on a day when Dick is here, you’re in for a real treat. Dick has many wonderful stories to tell and doesn’t mind sharing them with his fans.
We cordially invite you to come to the museum and check it out for yourself, you’ll be glad you did.
